The 3FNC (whose name stands for “three fins and a nose cone”) is definitely one of the most unusual rockets in my fleet. It’s comprised of a nose cone, some fins… and that’s about it. The 3FNC’s unusual appearance garners comments at pretty much every launch I bring it to. Layne Pemberton, the kit’s designer and operator of Pemberton Technologies, put a pretty impressive amount of enginering on the inside of this rocket to make having a recovery system possible, and that engineering has paid off. Every flight I’ve done with this rocket has been perfect.
